Is AE able to easily convert 3D null motion with a camera in 2D motion ?
I'm interrested by your plugin only if I can do that,
because my compositions are usually 2D and I need X/Y motion for link null motion to effects and masks.

Best regards,

Léon

Could you supply some more information on what exactly you are trying to do?

Do you have dummies in max that are only animated in 2D, and you need to translate them to aftereffects?

Rhys.

I have a dummy that move in 3d max, Max2Ae seems able to export it to Ae by creating a 3D compositing.
I use only 2D composition. Yet for recovered a movement of max in AE I render a white sphere on a black background that I track in AE.
So I get in AE 2D motion, it allows me among others to follow a lensflair on a light but also to follow a mask etc ...

In AE it is not possible to link a null from a 3D composition (x, y, z) to the effect that move in 2D (x, y).

My question is therefore whether it is possible to convert the 3D motion (x, y, z) of a layer 3D composition to a 2D motion (x, y).

Best regards,
