Multiply Camera setups

Postby QuinHudson » Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:51 pm

Hi there,
I'm interested in a scene render manager and came across Vexus a while ago and never had the change to test it.
I have a couple of questions
1 Does Vexus record physical sky time of day changes? Can Camera A be set to 6am daylight system and Camera B Daylight at 12pm?
2 Does Vexus record the Environment settings in Corona? I have scenes that need rendering with a Black Background override for the alpha to work correctly when comping and Other cameras that I just want the physical sky in it.
4 Can I set up the scene with multiply HDRI maps ?
3 Does Vexus support Fstorm?

Thanks

Hello,

To answer your questions:
1) Not at present, but we can look into adding an MXS node to support this
2) Yes
3) Yes, we just added FStorm support in Version 3.12 released earlier today
4) Can you elaborate on what you're looking for here?

Thanks,

Thanks Boomer,

Multiply HDRI maps, so each camera can have a different hdri map, or hdri map with a different rotation? This also goes with having multiply Suns (since recording the time of day isn't available)
Does Vexus support Coronas Muliply HDRI option for use with light mixer & Corona image viewer. Since this can be another way of rendering one scene with different HDRI maps/Sunsky systems.

Is there any video tutorials of setting up different environment setup as I have describe?
Thanks

If I understand your question, correctly, yes, you can assign different environments to different cameras. You can find a tutorial here:

Attached to this post is the .vx file that was used as well. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Thanks,

Thanks Mathew,

Thats what I was after, nice.
I couldn't tell if the camera changed as well when you hit the sent button back to 3dsmax, does it do that too?
So if each camera has different scene setups, different layer combinations, of hidden and unhidden objects, if I hit the send button will it show what's hidden and what is visible and camera change?

Yep, this is exactly what Vexus is designed to do. Multiple shots with different settings across different cameras etc.
You can execute a Pass to see that it is working as expected, or Submit all of the Passes for rendering.

Thanks Mathew I'm downloading the demo, will see how I go with it.
I have used XSI for a year or so the node base should be okay, but I do like the simplicity of Pulze, but it might be to simple for what I need and I don't like the rental model.
