iteration explained.

Postby ignacio » Tue Oct 08, 2019 7:06 pm

I'm reading the documentation but is a bit short in how to use the "iteration" parameter inside the Shot node.
If I could get a bit more detailed info on how to use it, It would help me.

Thank you!

If you don't mind me asking what are you hoping to do with the iteration parameter. It may help me explain a use case for you that you'd find more familiar and relate to.

The original idea came from a client who requested the ability to take a Chair (something you'd find in an Ikea catalog) and render it using multiple shaders that showcase different materials you could purchase the chair in. They also wanted to include rendering each material variation from multiple cameras.

I see, Thank you for the explanation.

Yes I was thinking to do something like that, variations like that. To test different models etc...
For example if I use Iteration 1 will show object 1, iteration 2 object 2, or like you said playing with different materials.
I'll give it a look a deeper look now that I have some tips. thank you.
