New to Vexus

Vexus looks perfect for what our studio is looking for; however we cant seem to get it to work. (Maybe it is the demo version limitations)? Below are quick screen grabs of the vexus graph and it's output.

We would expect that the top graph would output the ground plane rendered by itself with the shadows from all the furniture that are set to 'not visible to camera" by the over ride.

The second graph should out put the furniture rendered by itself over the top of the ground that has a vray matte overide set to it.

The attached jpg shows the output of both graphs. This looks identical to the completed render as if it were straight from max with nothing done to it.

There are no state sets, scene states or vray overide properties set directly in 3ds Max. All settings are set in the current Vexus desktop demo app. We are currently using Vray Next 2.1 and 3ds Max 2020.

Any help in getting this to work would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

At first blush, it appears you did everything right. Would it be possible to email the .vx file (and .max file if you can) to support@boomerlabs.com so we can see the specific node settings?

Thanks,
